FWCS Budget Up for 2015, Tax Rate Remains Flat

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Today, officials reviewed the 2015 budget for Fort Wayne Community Schools, and they say taxpayers can expect the tax rate for the school system to remain flat next year. The $281 million plan is just 2 percent more than 2014's budget. Also mentioned is a possible reduction in transportation services for the 2015-2016 school year.  A public hearing on the proposal will be held October 13th, and voting is planned for the October 27th Board Meeting.
