Driver Identified in Fort Wayne Moped Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is in critical condition after a moped crash early Sunday morning.

Around 4:07 a.m., Fort Wayne police were called to the 900 block of Lower Huntington Road in reference to a single moped crash involving injuries.

The driver of the moped was found unconscious and unresponsive upon officers arriving on the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition and later downgraded to critical condition.

On Monday, police identified the victim as 25-year-old Brady Marret.

Police say the moped was traveling westbound on Lower Huntington Road. It appears Marret left the roadway and hit the curb on the north side of the road.  Upon striking the curb, the driver lost control and struck a mailbox.

Marret was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
