Fort Wayne Paying $15,000 over Police Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) – The city of Fort Wayne will pay $15,000 to the estate of a man who was fatally shot by a police officer nearly four years ago.

An attorney for the city tells The Journal Gazette (http://bit.ly/1ybh5bE ) the city will make no admission of fault in the settlement. Attorney Robert Keen says it would've cost the city more money to continue fighting the lawsuit.

The Allen County prosecutor determined in 2011 that the shooting was justified.
