Northeast Indiana Housing Market On the Rise

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWOW): The housing market in northeast Indiana is among the strongest in the nation.

According to the Journal Gazette, home sales rose nearly 13 percent in October compared to last year.

Data from the Upstate Alliance of Realtors shows the average home sale price is almost 137 thousand dollars, a steady 7 percent increase from 2013.

Low numbers were mainly due to a harsh winter, and it's predicted this year that a heavy housing supply will prevent sales from slowing down.
