BMV Reinstatement Discounts Ending at New Year

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Don Snemis is reminding drivers about the state's discounted fees for reinstating driving privileges.

Drivers with suspended licenses can get 50 percent off the cost of reinstating their license. But Snemis said Monday that the discounted rates end Dec. 31.

The discount applies to anyone whose license was suspended before July 2013. The BMV says the program has helped net $2.2 million from 10,800 drivers since it started.
