FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man is facing two felony charges after using false information to buy a car in Fort Wayne.

According to the Journal Gazette, 57-year-old Armen Sylvester of South Bend used a fake name and address, two counterfeit checks, and a fake driver's license number to buy a Mercedes at Mint Auto Sales.

An employee told police the two checks totaled $25,330. Police contacted the bank who supposedly issued the checks and found out they were indeed counterfeit. 

South Bend police were able to track down the car and determined the person who claimed ownership had recently bought it from Sylvester.
