Bad Santa booted from Fort Wayne McDonald’s

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP): This Santa Claus just might end up on the naughty list.

Fort Wayne police say they were called to a McDonald's restaurant Tuesday because a man dressed as Santa Claus was causing a disturbance and the manager wanted him to leave.

Officers found two men dressed as Santa Claus, but one had permission to be there. Police say the other one was causing problems because he was inviting children to sit on his lap, just like the other one.

Police asked the unwanted Santa his name, he answered, “Santa Claus.'' They took him outside and he provided his real name after being told he could be charged with false informing if he didn't do so.

The unwanted Santa left after police told him a private business could refuse him service.
