FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A former staff member at Wayne High School has been charged with two counts of child seduction.

On Wednesday, 26-year-old Braxton Smith was formally charged with child seduction for having sex with a student.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, Smith was a classroom assistant at Wayne High School's special education department and assistant football coach.

A female student between the age of 16 and 17 told police that she had sex with Smith on two occasions in October and November of last year.

One of those times was at the girl's house, and the second was inside a car in a parking lot.

Smith resigned from his job on March 4th.
