Fort Wayne Native Schrock Retires From Komets

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne native is hanging up the skates. 

Fort Wayne Komet Lincoln Kayleigh Schrock has announced his retirement after spending his entire six year career with his hometown team. 

Schrock graduated from Snider High School in 2003 and helped lead the Neumann University Knights to a NCAA Division III championship in 2009. Schrock made his pro debut with the Komets in the 2009-2010 season and served as team captain the past two seasons. 

Komet General Manager David Franke said it was Schrock's dream to be a Komet and he is sure he will be a Komet Hall of Famer in the future.
