INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The operators of Indiana’s largest wind farm have proposed changing the nighttime operations of the farm’s 300-plus wind turbines to protect the federally endangered Indiana bat from being killed by their spinning blades. Two Indiana bats have been found dead since 2009 near wind turbines at northwestern Indiana’s Fowler Ridge Wind Farm.
