Drowning at Cataract Lake, South of Greencastle

CATARACT, Ind. (WOWO): A drowning at the Lieber State Recreation Area of Cataract Lake, southwest of Indianapolis. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigation the death of 37-year-old Rafael Lopez of Indianapolis. Witnesses say around 3:30 P.M., Lopez was behaving erratically and bobbing up and down in the water near the roped off area of the beach. Bystanders brought him to shore and performed CPR until crews got to the scene. He was taken to the Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, where he was later pronounced dead. The cause of death is unknown.
