Human Remains Found in Lake County

HOBART, Ind., (AP): Northern Indiana police say human bones, including a skull, have been found in a wooded area behind a shopping mall in the city of Hobart.

Hobart Detective Dave Evans tells The Times of Munster that a man riding a bicycle discovered the remains Friday evening behind the Crossings at Hobart strip mall.

The Lake County coroner's office and investigators were examining the scattered human bones and various items believed to have belonged to the person. An autopsy was planned for Saturday.

But The Times reports that authorities say they have good leads in the case and don't believe foul play was involved.
