Economic Concerns Top Lawmakers’ Upcoming Session

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indiana lawmakers will be dealing with two broad categories of issues when they return next year: Battles they would gladly take on and those they would rather avoid. Anything to improve the economy, from expanding early childhood education to spending on new roads projects, would clearly fit the first category. But the fight over amending a gay marriage ban into the state's constitution and stepping into the ongoing education squabbles fit the latter, and could distract them during their two-monthlong session.
