Rochester Man Arrested in Connection with Domestic Battery Case

ROCHESTER, Ind. (WOWO): A Rochester man is arrested on a domestic battery charge. Tuesday morning, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an alleged domestic battery and a person being stabbed at a home on County Road 300 West in Rochester. An early investigation showed there was an alleged fight between 30-year-old Nicholas Ponto and his girlfriend, during which the woman allegedly stabbed Ponto with a knife. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and then arrested by officers. The woman was allegedly injured during the fight. The investigation is ongoing.
