One-year-old Dies After Buggy Crash

FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. (AP):  Ohio hospital officials say a 1-year-old girl from eastern Indiana has died from injuries sustained in a horse-and-buggy accident.

Officials from Dayton Children's Hospital said Katie Fisher died Friday morning.

State police say she was injured about 5:50 p.m. Thursday near Fountain City, about 10 miles north of Richmond, when her father, Jacob Fisher, was unhooking a horse from a buggy that his wife, Ruth, and two daughters were passengers in. Police say the buggy overturned when the horse was “spooked.”

Two-month-old Annie Fisher also was injured and was listed in good condition at the hospital.
