Coroner: One Killed When Truck Crashes into Bus

ROLLING PRAIRIE, Ind. (AP): Authorities say one person was killed and more than a dozen were injured when a pickup truck crashed into a charter bus along a northern Indiana highway.

The LaPorte County coroner says the driver of the pickup truck died about 3 p.m. EST Wednesday when he lost control of his truck and it crashed into a Royal Excursion charter bus along U.S. 20.

Fifteen people were injured in the crash, but none of those injuries were life-threatening. The bus slid off the roadway after the crash in eastern LaPorte County.

The charter bus was carrying people to or from the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Mich.

The crash occurred near U.S. 20's intersection with County Road 450 East.
