INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The swine flu outbreak has prompted several central Indiana hospitals to restrict visitors to protect patients, families and staff from unnecessary potential exposure.
 
       IU Health says its Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis began restrictions on Monday. Restrictions take effect Wednesday at IU Health hospitals in Indianapolis, Avon, Carmel and Fishers. Visitors are limited to spouses or domestic partners, parents or guardians, grandparents and spiritual counselors.
 
       Franciscan St. Francis Health also says visitor restrictions will take effect Wednesday at its hospitals in Indianapolis, Carmel and Mooresville. It's restricting visitors to immediate family and barring any visitors who show flu-like symptoms.
 
       Indiana health officials announced last week that the number of Indiana influenza deaths this season has grown to 11, up from three reported a week earlier.
