Announcement Coming on Department of Treasury Decision Regarding $75 Million Program

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann will announce the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s decision on a proposed $75 million Blight Elimination Program. Ellspermann will be joined by Sen. Jim Merritt, Sen. Earline Rogers, Rep. Justin Moed, Rep. Alan Morrison, Mark Neyland, director of asset preservation at Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, and Rayanna Binder, Program Director of the Hardest Hit Fund Blight Elimination Program.

They will announce the Department’s decision regarding the $75 million Hardest Hit Fund Blight Elimination Program proposed by the IHCDA. The program would use part of Indiana’s Hardest Hit Funds to prevent avoidable foreclosures by eliminated blighted vacant and abandoned homes in Indiana. The announcement will come at the Indiana State House on Monday at 10:00 A.M.
