Indianapolis Police Have Full-Time SWAT Unit

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The city of Indianapolis has started a full-time SWAT unit to try to help deal with violent crime. Public Safety Director Troy Riggs says the two main goals are to increase citizen safety and to increase police officer safety. Riggs also says that most major cities have SWAT units. He says this shows that Indianapolis is taking its place among those cities.
