FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Komets will be partners with Nickelodeon this season.

It’s part of a larger team-up between the ECHL and the network and will lead to teams promoting Nick properties like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Paw Patrol”, and “SpongeBob SquarePants” all season long, complete with special jerseys and other on-ice promotions.

The Komets are going old-school, however, with “Double Dare” night set for December 29th against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Fans will have a chance to bid on special game-worn jerseys and compete in game-show contests throughout the game.

Proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit local charities chosen by Fort Wayne Police, Fire, & EMS crews, courtesy of The Hagerman Group.
