Arrest Reported in Teen Girl’s Death, Body Burning

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Authorities are expected to announce developments about the investigation into the death of a 15-year-old girl whose badly burned body was found in August in an Indianapolis backyard.

The Friday morning news conference with the city's police chief and Marion County prosecutor comes amid local news reports that a 46-year-old man has been arrested for Dominique Allen's death.

Marion County online court records show the man faces a murder charge for a slaying that happened Aug. 31, the same day police say a man walking his dog found the teen's body in his backyard on the city's near northwest side.

An autopsy determined the Ben Davis High School freshman died from asphyxiation. Police said Allen was dead before her body was burned.
