Italy-Based Steel Manufacturer Invests in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  An Italian stainless steel and nickel alloy manufacturer has announced plans to expand their operations in Fort Wayne, creating up to 45 jobs in the next three years.

According to the Journal Gazette, Valbruna Slater Stainless, Inc. is an Italy-based manufacturer that will invest $30.5 million in renovations and equipment at their Fort Wayne facilities, that will be fully operational by late next year.

Production capacity will increase after the company adds a 166,000 square-foot addition at their building that currently employs about 105 full-time employees.

Valbruna Slater Stainless produces stainless steel and nickel alloy bars that are sold to various companies, including those in the aerospace, bio-medical, and automotive industry.
