160 from Indiana National Guard Headed to Kuwait

TRAFALGAR, Ind. (AP) — About 160 members of the Indiana National Guard's 1313th Engineer Company based in Franklin are being deployed to Kuwait.

National Guard officials say the group will hold a departure ceremony 10 a.m. Sunday at Indian Creek High School in Trafalgar, about 25 miles south of Indianapolis.

The soldiers will conduct engineering operations in Kuwait to support the ongoing drawdown of Operation Enduring Freedom while it transitions to a scaled-back Resolute Support Mission.
