Body Found in Burned Van on Eastside of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Authorities are investigating a man's death after his body was found in a partially-burned vehicle on the eastside of Indianapolis.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the body was discovered Sunday afternoon when officers responded to a report of an unresponsive man in a minivan. Emergency responders pronounced the man dead and said he had suffered minor burns but no apparent trauma.

It's unclear if the man's death was deliberate or accidental. An autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death.

Police believe the man is in his 30s and often slept inside the van at that location.
