Tampered Obama Portrait Moved out of Reach

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): A portrait of President Barack Obama in a Lafayette federal building has been raised higher after several weeks of someone tucking into its frame slips of paper calling for the president's impeachment.

The portrait was raised about 18 inches this week on the wall across from post office boxes inside the Halleck Federal Building, putting it out of easy reach.

General Services Administration spokeswoman Cat Langel says the agency which manages the building wants to prevent more tampering with the portrait.

She says the agency is working with security personnel in the building to remain aware of any possible incidents.
