5th Person Charged In Deadly Indianapolis House Explosion

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Prosecutors have charged a fifth person in connection with a November 2012 Indianapolis house explosion that killed two people and damaged or destroyed dozens of homes.

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said Tuesday that 48-year-old Glenn Hults of Indianapolis is charged with conspiracy to commit arson.

A probable cause affidavit says Hults agreed to have the daughter of co-defendant Monserrate Shirley stay at his home on the night of the explosion at Shirley's home that killed a couple living next door. Also charged in the case are Shirley's former boyfriend, Mark Leonard; his brother, Bob Leonard, and Gary Thompson.

The affidavit quotes Shirley as saying Mark Leonard told Hults of plans to burn down her house to collect insurance money.

Online court records didn't list an attorney for Hults.
