Angie’s List CEO to Leave Company

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Less than a month after his company jumped into the Religious Freedom debate in Indiana, Angie's List CEO Bill Oesterle is stepping down.

According to a company press release, Oesterle will remain until a successor is found. He wants to be more civily active.

In March, Angie's List officials announced were canceling a $40 million dollar expansion of its headquarters in Indianapolis.

The move was a response to Gov. Mike Pence signing RFRA into law.

Critics say the expansion was in doubt even before the announcement because negotiations with the city of Indianapolis were stalled.

Oesterle and Angie Hicks founded the company in 1995.
