RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) _ The city of Richmond has delayed a decision whether to spend $120,000 to repair a brick wall that's nearing collapse in the city's historic district.

The Richmond Redevelopment Commission voted Wednesday to postpone until July 22 its consideration of the funding request. The money would go to repair an old wall that's deteriorating and on the verge of collapse in Richmond's Historic Depot District.

Business owners in that district are seeking the repair money. A crowd of more than 70 people attended Wednesday's meeting and nearly all of them supported the funding request.

The Palladium-Item reports (http://pinews.co/1G7WeWA ) that Richmond Baking Company President Bill Quigg was only person to speak against the proposal. He told the commission his business owns various buildings and it's always paid for any repairs itself.
