Fatal Shooting on I-70 in Indianapolis Under Investigation

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indiana State Police are investigating a fatal shooting of a man who was found in a bullet-riddled pickup truck on Interstate 70 on the east side of Indianapolis.

The agency said the victim is 30-year-old Derrick Gregory of Indianapolis. He was pronounced dead Thursday evening, a day after he was found.

Troopers responded to a call about a disabled vehicle on I-70 on Wednesday evening. They found Gregory wounded and unresponsive in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The truck had several bullet holes in the windshield and driver's side door. Gregory was the only person in the truck.

Gregory was taken to a nearby hospital.
