Man Pleads Guilty in 2014 Assault Case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man accused of pulling a women into a car to physically and sexually assault has pleaded guilty in the case.

Forty-two-year Johnny Nickell agreed to plead guilty to a charge of criminal deviate conduct for the crime that occured in 2014.

According to court documents, the woman was attacked near Sherman and Third Street in April of 2014.

If the judge accept the plea deal, charges of rape, criminal confinement and other charges of criminal deviate behavior will dropped.

According to the Journal-Gazette has a history sexual battery and other criminal charges.

Nickell could serve up to six years in prison. He'll be sentenced next month.
