UPDATED: I-69 Closed in DeKalb County Due to Major Crash

UPDATE 5:02 PM: ALL lanes of I-69 near Auburn are open. Crews had difficulty with a trailer on the northbound lanes of I-69, but traffic is all clear.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): DeKalb County dispatch tells WOWO News that I-69 is currently closed in both directions in DeKalb County from mile marker 329 to 326 due to a major crash involving three semis. Drivers are asked to avoid the area as police and crews work to clear the scene.

The incident happened around 3:15 Tuesday morning. At least one person is dead from injuries sustained in the crash.

Officials say the northbound lanes of I-69 in the area of the incident aren't expected to reopen until around 11 a.m. We'll have updates as they become available.
