FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The final unemployment data for 2015 has been released for the Fort Wayne area and not much has changed.

It shows Allen County’s jobless rate holding steady in December at 4.4 percent. That matches the statewide average of 4.4 percent and is much lower than the 5.5 percent rate from a year ago.

Indiana Department of Workforce Development Commissioner Steve Braun says the statewide average unemployment rate is at its lowest level in more than a decade and that claims for unemployment insurance are at their lowest since 1998.
