FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, or IDVA, is celebrating the successful completion of its Operation Emergency Food Program.
Launched to assist veterans during a temporary pause in federal SNAP benefits, the initiative processed 68 applications and distributed nearly $20,000 in crucial funding.
IDVA Director Jake Adams emphasized the importance of food security for military families, stating the program provided timely aid to Hoosier veterans in their time of need.
The department continues to encourage veterans to learn about and apply for support through the Military Family Relief Fund.
