FREMONT, Ind. (WOWO): A glass manufacturer based in Minnesota has announced an expansion for their plant in Fremont.

Cardinal Glass Industries will be investing $2.3-million in an expansion of its Cardinal IG plant, which has been in Fremont for 20 years. The money will cover a 300,000 square-foot addition to make room for new rack processing technology, as well as a relocation for the company’s technical support department, according to Inside Indiana Business.

The expansion will also create 38 jobs over the next three years.

The company says the decision to grow is driven by increased national demand in new home construction.
