FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne pastor is trying to raise $20,000 in Walmart gift cards for flood survivors in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Pastor Carlton Lynch of New Beginnings Church is calling it the “Big Give” campaign. He said it has already received its first big donation.

“The Southtown Walmart is already donating $1,500 worth of gift cards,” Lynch said. “We’re trying to raise $20,000. When people hear about this effort, I want them to get involved.”

60,000 homes were damaged by recent flooding. You can donate by stopping by the church on South Lafayette Street or on the “Big Give” gofund me page.
