FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The United Way of Allen County announced a donation from General Motors this afternoon. The donation totals to more than $250,000.

Emily Lahr, Donor Relations and Tocqueville Manager at United Way, spoke with WOWO about what this donation means to the company.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the partnership we have with General Motors,” Lahr said. “This would not be available without the generosity of the men and women of Fort Wayne assembly. We give kudos not only to General Motors, but also to those individuals.”

General Motors made a commitment to make an equal contribution to their employee gifts.

Lahr said the donation will be applied to their general campaign, and will help fund assisting partners and community collaborations.
