Fort Wayne Fresh Market spared from closure

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fresh Market chain of grocery stores will be closing a number of stores, but the southwest Fort Wayne location on Jefferson Blvd. has been spared.

Our Partners in News at ABC 21 report the North Carolina-based company has singled out 15 locations in 9 states, including one in Fishers, to shut down in an effort to make ends meet. The company also closed 13 stores in 2016.

Fresh Market CEO Larry Appel says they’ll work to relocate as many impacted employees as possible.
