Woman severely burned in fire started by estranged husband

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne woman is in serious condition after a house fire this morning.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department tells our Partners in News at ABC 21 they were called to a home in the 5600 block of South Harrison Street at about 8:47am after a neighbor reported a woman ran to her house, naked, and said her estranged husband had broken into the house, poured gasoline all over the home, and set it on fire.

The man, who is under a restraining order filed by his wife, was taken into custody for questioning.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital.
