BLUFFTON, Ind. (WOWO): An East Coast-based biofertilizer company will be establishing operations in Wells County.

Governor Eric Holcomb announced this morning that Pennsylvania-based EnviroKure, which makes biologic amendments and organic fertilizers, will invest more than $10-million to build a full-scale manufacturing plant in Bluffton.

The 80,000-square-foot facility will pull soil-building microbes from manure and cultivate biofertilizers and biostimulants.

The company plans to be up and running by late 2019 and will begin hiring next summer. Holcomb says EnviroKure has “already been a great partner to Indiana” and the ag-biosciences industry.
