BERNE, Ind. (WOWO): A hostage situation led to both the suspect and the victim being arrested by police in Adams County Tuesday.

Deputies from Adams and Wells Counties were called to a home on Deborah Lane at about 5:29pm. The man inside told police he wasn’t coming out, and had a hostage. Two other local police agencies and the Indiana State Police were all called in as officers tried to talk the man out.

36-year-old Gregory Aguilar surrendered at 8:35pm and was taken into custody. His victim, 28-year-old Russell Henry Jr., was not harmed but ended up arrested as well due to outstanding and unrelated warrants.
