One critical after Tuesday night shooting

(WOWO News)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One person is in critical condition after a shooting last night in Fort Wayne.

A Fort Wayne police officer was flagged down by a “Good Samaritan” at the intersection of Hawthorne St. and Decatur Rd. at 8:05pm. They were transporting a man who had been shot while in the 6100 block of Landsdowne Drive.

Police say he had been outside a home when a red Ford F-150 drove up, and at least one of the truck’s passengers opened fire, shooting him and then driving away. Police say the victim fired back and the truck might have been hit by bullets.
