Woman air lifted to hospital after crash in Dekalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO)  Around 9:55 p.m. the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 3000 block of County Road 36 to a vehicle crash.

The vehicle was traveling westbound when it crossed left of the center line and drove off of the road before crashing into the tree.  The woman driving the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt and was also pinned in the vehicle.

After the driver was extracted, she was air lifted to an area hospital.  Investigators believe alcohol was a factor.  The crash still remains under investigation.
