One person, two dogs rescued from Winter Street house fire Wednesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – One person and two dogs were rescued from a house fire in Fort Wayne Wednesday morning.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a home in the 4400 block of Winter Street just after 1 a.m. on reports of an electrical panel on fire.

Upon arrival, one person was found outside the home attempting to fight the fire, but reported another person was still inside and was hooked up to oxygen.

Firefighters were able to rescue the person from the home, along with two dogs.

The fire was reportedly in the rear of the home and the attic. It was extinguished within 12 minutes.

The home obtained moderate water and smoke damage.
