A Large One-Month Drop in Latest Indiana Unemployment Report

INDIANA (WOWO): The latest Indiana unemployment report shows the largest one-month drop in the jobless rate in 20 years.

Sectors with the most jobs gained include manufacturing, financial and business services. Sectors with the biggest declines include construction and trade, transpiration and utilities.

Its four-tenths of a point drop to 6.4 percent. It's now at the lowest point since September of 2008. Indiana's unemployment rate is not only lower than our neighboring states, but the national rate as well. But it's not all good news. The jobless rate went up in several counties in our listening area, including Allen, DeKalb, Whitley, Huntington and Adams.
