Allen County Agency Awarded Grant From Indiana Supreme Court

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Agencies around Indiana are being honored for their volunteer guardianship programs.

The Indiana Supreme Court awarded $420,000 in grant money to 9 agencies, spanning over 16 counties. The money will go towards programs that serve seniors and incapacitated adults.

One of those awarded is the Mental Health America Guardianship Program in Allen County.

In all, grants were awarded to these programs:

· Achieva Resources Corporation, Inc. Guardianship Program – Fayette, Union, and Wayne Counties – $50,000
· Guardianship Services of Southwestern Indiana, Inc. – Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties – $50,000
· Mental Health America in Allen County, Inc. Adult Guardianship Program – Allen County – $38,500
· Michiana Resources Volunteer Advocates for Adults Program – LaPorte County – $43,000
· Monroe County Volunteer Guardianship Program – Monroe County – $38,500
· REAL Services, Inc. Adult Guardianship Services Program – Elkhart, Marshall, and St. Joseph Counties – $50,000
· Southern Indiana Adult Guardianship Services –Lawrence, Monroe, Orange, and Washington Counties – $50,000
· Volunteer Advocates for Seniors and Incapacitated Adults – Lake County – $50,000
· Wabash Center, Inc./Tippecanoe County Adult Guardianship Services – Tippecanoe County – $50,000

The Adult Guardianship Office is funded by the Indiana General Assembly.
