Allen County Public Library Receives Lincoln Donations

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Public Library received a new statue of Abraham Lincoln Thursday.

Called “Moody, Tearful Night,” the statue was dedicated just outside the library's Genealogy Department in their downtown Fort Wayne branch. The News-Sentinel reports that the piece, which depicts the night Lincoln was shot, was donated by Ian and Mimi Rolland.

The library also received a donation of websites and domains from the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission and Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation. The move will allow the library to connect those websites with its own site dedicated to the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection.
