ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): On Election Day, the late Roy Buskirk was voted back onto the Allen County Council.

Buskirk died just days before the election. A caucus to find a replacement for Buskirk’s current term is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 30.

Now, Republican Party Chairman Steven Shine announced another caucus will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8. That caucus will be to decide who will replace Buskirk for his new term.

The replacement will serve Buskirk’s four-year term, which starts in January.

Democratic Party Chairman Jack Morris claims the votes for Buskirk are null and void.
