The perfect candidate, they say, should be a German Shepherd between ages 1 and 3 ½.   The dog must pass a physical… and have a good temperament.  Candidates will be screened by a vet and the department’s dog trainer.  Anyone with a dog that meets the requirements should contact the Master Trainer Robert Compton at (260) 449-4597.
