ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Amber Pasztor appeared in court Thursday for a status counsel hearing, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.

A court-appointed attorney was assigned to Pasztor during the hearing.

Pasztor was charged with murder in connection with the death of Frank Macomber of Fort Wayne.

A probable cause affidavit filed in Allen County court claims Pasztor told police she shot Macomber with a large deer hunting rifle he bought her.

During her initial hearing Monday, Pasztor attempted to plead guilty and waive her rights to an attorney.

The judge ordered a mental competency hearing.

During Thursday’s hearing, the court filed a request for the psychiatric evaluations from Pasztor’s trial in Elkhart County.

She is scheduled to be back in court August 28 for another hearing.
