Ambulance Hit By Alleged Drunk Driver

Fort Wayne police are investigating an incident in which an ambulance was struck by an alleged drunk driver.  The Journal Gazette says the crash happened on Saturday night while the Three Rivers ambulance was responding with its lights and siren activated.  When the driver attempted to cross the intersection at Hobson Road and East Coliseum, the ambulance was hit by a pickup driven by an Illinios man who reportedly had a blood alcohol content of .21 percent.  That driver, 22-year-old Garrett Wagner, was booked into the Allen County Jail on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated.  The suspect and two people onboard the ambulance were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
